LOTR RISK

So tonight was an unusual night as I was talked into playing Lord of the Rings Risk with the guys on Quad 2. I have played Risk before but I usually don't like starting long games because, as all people with ADHD tendencies do, I get bored with things after around ten minutes. Also, those guys are strategy game wizards and I pretty much stick with sports. I was actually still soaked in sweat from playing a few pickup games of basketball. And they recaulked our shower today so I can't take a shower until 3 PM tomorrow. Which is really lame because my alarm clock didn't go off this morning so I was late for class so I had to skip a shower. They were already caulking the shower this afternoon so I couldn't even take a shower then. Basically I really want a shower now. Oh yeah, back to the Risk game.
We started out and I took Mordor and made an alliance with Taters. After one turn the board looked roughly like this:

I was dark green. I had all of Mordor. And I had a pretty good amount of troops in there, but that was pretty much all I had. It was around this point that I gave up on ever losing the nerd label thanks to Regina. But its alright. I can learn to embrace it eventually. Ian was red and had a ton of troops already at this point. He is pretty much the strategy game champion. Tyler was black and also had a lot of territory and a lot of troops. Peter was yellow and was spread super thin. Taters was light green and thought I was his ally. Really it was like I was Germany and he was Poland during WWII. I didn't want him attacking me but once it was convenient for me I attacked him with all of my fury. It was Biblical! We were watching Law Abiding Citizen at the same time by the way.

Five hours, two sweet teas, and a few swiss rolls later (3 AM) the board looked like this:

I was still dark green by the way.

Basically, if Johner wants to win, he's gonna win.

PS. I left my basketball over there. And the couch that we jacked from my dorm.

  1. I don't know why the time stamp is 2 AM. It is definitely 4 AM right now.
